Display

Schleifenbauer offers two variants for local access to PDU data, depending on the PDU type:

PDU 5.0 – Display via smartphone (NFC)

Our latest generation of PDUs (PDU 5.0) uses the Rack PDU Display App in combination with NFC technology. This allows you to easily view measurement data on your smartphone or tablet, without the need for a physical display. This modern solution offers greater flexibility, eliminates a potential point of failure, and enables you to step away from the rack while still accessing all relevant information.

PDU G3 – Display with integrated controller

G3 PDUs are equipped with a physical display controller featuring scroll buttons and an LCD screen for direct, local access to measurements and settings. This version includes features such as a reset button, network status indicators, a USB port for firmware management and sensor connections – ideal for environments where physical interaction with the PDU is preferred.

Access your PDU data easily on your smartphone or tablet – without the need for a physical display on the PDU. Using the Rack PDU Display App and NFC technology, you can quickly and securely access Schleifenbauer PDU 5.0 modules (Gateway, Controller and Daisy Chain) locally by holding your device against the module for a few seconds.

This smartphone integration replaces the traditional display, offering greater flexibility, eliminating a potential point of failure, and allowing you to step away from the rack while maintaining full visibility of your power distribution.

The app provides a clear menu with access to all relevant PDU information, including:

• Active alerts

• Total energy consumption

• Measurements per input, branch and outlet

• Sensor data (e.g. temperature and humidity)

• Network status

• Module identification

• Settings and configurations

To use the app, a smartphone or tablet with NFC functionality is required. This feature gives you all the information you would expect from a PDU display – directly on your own device.

The free Rack PDU Display app is available in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Ethernet Connectivity:

  • Fast and reliable with 10/100 Ethernet, autonegotiate standard. Configurable connection speed and duplex mode for maximum flexibility.

LAN Access Point:

  • Seamless access to the local network for smooth communication and management.

Connection Status:

  • Orange LED indicates when network communication is established.

Reset Functionality:

  • Reset button for hard restart or factory reset, without interrupting power distribution and retaining settings.

Power Status:

  • Green LED indicates the controller is operating correctly, with flashing indication for incoming requests to the PDU.

USB Port:

  • Supports local firmware upgrade/downgrade for optimal performance.

Sensor Connectivity:

  • RJ12 connector for temperature and humidity sensors, along with dry contact closures.

Databus Connectivity:

  • Two RJ45 in/out connectors for ring connection of multiple Schleifenbauer devices on the databus.

Scroll Buttons:

  • Effortlessly navigate through PDU display tabs and reset local alerts with convenient scroll buttons.

LCD Display:

  • Displays locally relevant settings and measurements for immediate insight.
