When a customer needs a PDU, a few parameters are always crucial: the required current (amperes), the number of phases, the level of intelligence, the number of outlets, and the type of circuit protection. These specifications are determined during the quotation process – based on the tender text, the customer’s requirements, or an example configuration for which we create a Schleifenbauer alternative. The customer retains full control over how the PDU is configured. Every component can be positioned to the millimetre in the design. By the time the quotation is sent, all technical drawings and the bill of materials are already generated automatically.

From quotation to production with a single click

Once a quotation is accepted, it is immediately converted into a production order. Aluminium profiles that form the housing are cut to size and placed in the laser machine. Based on the design, the machine precisely cuts the openings for components and adds engravings such as logos, serial numbers and outlet numbering. At the same time, the cable assembly department produces the required power cable with the specified plug.

Assembly and integration

The processed profiles are prepared with all required components, such as outlets, control boards and circuit breakers. Our technicians then connect the internal power cabling, current transformers for energy measurement and communication wiring for later control. The housing consists of two profile sections that click seamlessly together and are closed with side covers. The power cable is mounted exactly where the customer requires, after which the PDU proceeds to the testing stage.

Rigorous quality control

Every PDU undergoes full physical and electronic testing. Outlets, cabling, metering and control functions are verified in detail. With uncompromising quality control, our PDUs set the benchmark with the lowest RMA rate in the market.

Smart and sustainable logistics

PDUs are packaged in pairs using recycled cardboard, cut to size with an automated system. This eliminates the need to stock multiple box formats. Customers who choose packaging-free delivery receive their PDUs in dedicated transport racks, delivered all the way into the white space of the data centre.

Local sourcing and independence

All components are sourced locally, ensuring independence from distant suppliers and securing fast and reliable production. Because we work exclusively on a build-to-order basis, we do not keep stock of standard models.
