meters inside the distribution panel

The DP meter (distribution panel meter) is installed in the group box (distribution box) of the data centre. The DP meter can measure 27 outgoing lines with the aid of external measuring coils.

The measured values that the DP meter generates are the same as those of a PDU:

  • power (A)
  • voltage (V)
  • power factor (%)
  • energy (kWh)
  • output (VA)

The DP meter is built into a standard DIN housing for easy installation on a DIN rail. The display ensures that the installation fitter can quickly verify the correct positioning of the measuring coils. The measuring coils are also made such that they can be fitted quickly and easily in almost all types of boxes. Safe and easy installation was the starting point for the design of the DP meter.

Communication with the DP meter is the same as communication with the PDUs: via a data bus, several DP meters can be linked together and connected to an IP network using a Gateway. It is possible to include DP meters and PDUs in the same data bus.

3CTee.

The 3CTee is a set of 3 measuring coils on an embedded PCB. The distance between the measuring coils is the same as the standard size of a DIN rail module (18 mm), so that it fits exactly under a single-pole automatic fuse.

The 3CTee has a 3 m connecting lead with a terminal block that can be placed in the DP meter and is supplied with fixing materials for DIN rail mounting and other mounting possibilities.

Split-core CT.

A split-core CT is used in existing environments where the power may not be cut off. For this situation you can use these measuring coils, which can be opened so that they can be placed over the wire. Split-core CTs are larger and more expensive than 3CTees. It is important to be certain there is sufficient room to install it in the box.
