Mission
From its leading position in the Dutch data centre market for intelligent multi-sockets, Schleifenbauer Products wishes to replicate its success in the surrounding countries. Our objective is to create profits in a sustainable manner, whereby our relationship with all the parties involved is central.
Vision
Our end users are data centres. Their clients are companies that are to a great extent dependent on IT. A large factor in this is the power supply. This may in the first place never be interrupted and in the second place, the power consumption of the IT devices themselves must be limited as much as possible, because this is accompanied by high costs. Our multi-sockets (PDUs) have been specifically designed for this application: they have the greatest possible sustainability and provide the user with information about the power consumption of the connected equipment. Based on the information provided by our PDUs, the data centre manager can make informed choices. With this feature, Schleifenbauer Products hopes to contribute towards the process of awareness that unnecessary power consumption is accompanied by high costs, both for the company and our planet.
CSR
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is anchored in our concern. We are of the opinion that this goes further than supporting charitable causes. CSR is therefore also a conscious part of our total corporate philosophy:
In the design phase of the latest generation of multi-sockets, we have looked into the choice of materials, the transport of semi-manufactures and the power consumption of the PDU itself. This has led to us producing the entire PDU locally. The extruded aluminium components, the electronics, the assembly... everything takes place within a radius of 50 km. The designers of the electronic circuits have gone to extremes to minimise the power consumption of our meters. This seems at first sight trivial in relation to the power consumption of a whole data centre, but in view of the large numbers of PDUs in each data centre, the savings can amount to several dozen kilowatts. On an annual basis, that is not just a pleasant financial coincidence, it is also nice to know that you have extracted much less power from the planet.
